Since getting back from Katsucon, I have been an apathetic blob. I had SUCH an amazing time at the con, that I’m having a hard time getting back into the swing of my “real life”. My apartment has gotten messy, I’ve neglected the gym, and I’ve been binge eating like there’s no tomorrow.
As much as I love wallowing in my own post-con depression and eating 2.5 bagels in one day, Anime Matsuri is just around the corner and I need to get moving. I don’t know what costume I’m making for the con but the first step is getting inspired to work on something, period. SO I decided it’s time to get organized. I am usually an avid cleaner/organizer but my poor cosplay closet has really become a disaster.Right now, most of my costumes are in the two Tupperware bins, which are dangerously full. I have no designated home for my patterns, shipping materials or muslin and I definitely need a larger “in progress” bin.
These are the before pictures. I’m hoping to stop by Bed Bath and Beyond tonight for some additional storage. I will follow-up with the results tomorrow!
I hear ya there. Most of my suitcase is still packed, since I know I’m heading to another con this weekend. It never ends sometimes - the cons and crashes.
I…I just…omg this makes me feel like I need to like, burn all of my stuff. D: If this is messy, I don’t want to think about what I am.
Trust me, mine’s probably worse. The downside of having a lot of space where I live is it allows cosplay mess to sprawl. It’s mostly contained to a single room, but that occasionally spreads. Sometime I’ll have to take a photo of the carnage.
